Sneha Nair
Hello! This is my virtual space. Here lies all of my documentable achievements and other things about me that might interest you.
I was born in Jamaica to an indian family. Starting my PhD journey in Physics at CUNY where my research interest lie heavily on large simulations of the cosmic web and quenching phenomena along filaments plunging into galaxy clusters. Outside of that I love to paint, draw, printmake, read, listen to music, try to play some moosic, find old things, cook some weird stuff and do some fun stuff in the GREAT outdoors.
Most recent random thought: You can do almost anything on the New York subway.Research Updates: Just the start of my work with Professor Welker over at City Tech! Starting to get familiar with running jobs on a cluster. So far, we have been making headway in comparing the difference in filament structures due to the resolution of the simulation one uses. Moving forward we are hoping to study the effects of magnetic draping on larger scales namely, around halo structures.
Other Things: Nepali Bhanchha Ghar have the best momos outside of Nepal. Trying to find the best biryani in the world. So far- PERSIAN DARBAR in Mumbai is the best ever. But Masalawala and Sons in Park Slope gives it a run for its MOOLA.
The small two heads logo is taken from my linocut series. They remind me of the talking heads. Check out the other art on my page!
